The Relation Between Emphatic Tendency and Level of Compassion among Midwifery Students

Objective: In this study, it has been aimed to determine the relation between empathic tendency and compassion level in students of midwifery department. Methods: The study is a descriptive analytical study. data were collected by self-reporting method using “Empathic Tendency Scale” “Compassion Scale”. was conducted with total 335 studying at university Turkey. Results: students’ score found be 67.38 ±5.86. 94.63±11.58. first grade significantly higher than other grades. There positive correlation sub-dimensions score, kindness, common humanity, mindfulness. Conclusion: It determined because that levels are high. Classes about empathy should included curriculum for graduate point view.
